Process: Juggling Animation Tutorial
1. We started by hand-drawing a curve representing the profile of the juggling pin. We then rotated this curve 360 degrees to form a surface to which we could apply materials.
2. Next, we animated the pin into a warped infinite symbol using key-frames.
3. This was then duplicated twice and offset such that it looked like the pins were being juggled.
4. John created a cartoon-like chicken to use as our character and spent several hours on the details (specifically the beak).
5. We then animated this character and created this website to demo our work website.

Click here to download a video of our animation dubbed: The Juggling Chicken or here to download a video of just the pins being magically juggled on their own. The video files are in 3vix format. This is a MPEG4 derived codec which is fully compatible with the Apple MPEG4 decoder implementation in Quicktime 6 and above so both mac and PC users can view the video files. In case you want Quicktime MOV compressed files, for whatever reason, click The Juggling Chicken and Pins Juggling.
